According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations office of National Library and Archives Organization of IRI, the unveiling ceremony of ‘Tahrir Resalat al-Velayat by Shams al-Wahy Tabrizi’ which delves into the Islamic mysticism was held on July 14 which marks the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS), the second Shi’ite Imam.
Allameh Mohammad Hossein Tabatabaei was an outstanding Muslim philosopher and religious researcher of the 20th century whose grand series of ‘Tafsir al-Mizan’, an interpretation of the holy Quran, is a major Shi’ite scholarly work.
Among his numerous works is one which was written to shed light on and remove the ambiguities of the outstanding French Orientalist Henry Corbin about the history and doctrine of Shi’ism. The other eminent Muslim philosopher and Professor of Islamic studies at George Washington University Sayyed Hossein Nasr has translated the book ‘Shi’ite in Islam’ by Allameh Tabatabaei’s into English.
