Theology and religious studies chamber was inaugurated in the University of Eurasia Kazakhstan with General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Araki in attendance.
The room is equipped and prepared by the cooperation of Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassy and the Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Eurasia.
The opening ceremony was also attended by International deputy of the World Forum, Manoucher Mottaki and the member of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, Mohammad Hassan Asefi.
Speaking in the event, President of Iran top unity center paid tribute to Kazakh university professors and students for their efforts in this regard. The senior cleric also beckoned to achievements and roadmaps gained by Islamic republic of Iran in various areas.
General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought announced his readiness for cooperation especially in religious areas with Kazakh centers and foundations. It is noteworthy, Kazakhstan has been home to representatives of approximately 130 ethnic groups (belonging to more than 40 different religions and denominations), who have been fully co-existing. There are about 3200 mosques, churches, houses of prayer, about 4000 religious organizations in Kazakhstan.
General Secretary of the World Forum headed a delegation to Kazakhstan so as to attend the two day Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. International deputy of the World Forum, Manoucher Mottaki and the member of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, Mohammad Hassan Asefi accompanied Ayatollah Araki on his trip.
