It is narrated from Imam Mohammad Al-Baqir (AS) who said: It is not enough for a person to consider himself/herself as Shia Muslim just because they like us; our Shia is only the one who has adopted piety. The signs of our Shias are: Humbleness, trustworthiness, kindness to parents, truthfulness, helping the poor, and remembering Allah (SWT) a lot. Our Shia is the one whose tongue does not speak except in a good manner. The one who just says: I like Ali (AS), but is not after good deeds, and does not act according to the traditions of Imam Ali (AS), is not Shia.
