Hawzah News Agency- Addressing some secularist belief that Human moralities are obtainable even without believing in God and the Judgment Day, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi Said, ” Good deeds done by those who believe in God’s authority and his considering every single detail and aspect of their actions in this life on the Judgment Day absolutely differ from the actions of those who do not hold such belief in their hearts,”
Interpreting the Du’aa Makarimul Akhlaq (The Honorable Morals) in Sahifa Sajjadiya, Ayatollah went on, “In his fourth request from God almighty in this part of the Du’aa, Imam al-Sajjad (PBUH) asks,” Place me among your righteous servants”.
Explaining that ‘Righteous’ here means qualified and honest, the source of emulation added, “Good deeds include all aspects of one’s individual as well as social life,”
Defining good deeds as a fruit of the tree of faith, he continued, “It’s almost been mentioned 40 times in Quran that the believers do good deeds,”
Pointing at some secularist belief that Human moralities are attainable even without having faith in God and the Judgment Day, The senior Shia cleric further said,” Some might say we know people who are considered honest, but they have no faith in religion or God, to them I say, it is possible that such exceptions exist but their good deeds are not completely pure,”
“A shrub that is not deeply rooted in the ground will perish with a blow of wind whereas a deep-rooted tree would survive the hardest storms,” The distinguished Quran interpreter added.
“Believers’ good deeds, i.e. those who believe in God’s authority and his considering every single detail and aspect of their actions in this life on the Judgment Day absolutely differ from the actions of those who do not hold such belief in their hearts,”
“Among the major features of Imam al-Mahdi’s (PBUH) companions are that they have faith in God and do good deeds,”
Referring to 55th verse of al-Noor Surah, ayatollah Shirazi said, “It’s mentioned in the holy Quran that God almighty has promised those who believe in God and do good deeds to rise to power and dominion on the earth. Three major benefits including, justice administration throughout the world, extending security and pure worship are thought to be the results of the believers’ domination in this life,”
“Surely Imam al-Mahdi’s (PBUH) government will include all the nations of the world, then all the divine rulings and principles will be put in practice, sense of security will be present and no colonial powers will be able to dominate the believers,” he concluded.
