According to IBNA correspondent quoting the public relations office of the 18th Congress of Molla Sadra, in the Iranian calendar 22 May marks the anniversary of honoring Molla Sadra. At this event scholars and experts of philosophy presented articles and delivered lectures.
Sadr al-Din bin Mohammad Qavȃmi Shirȃzi known as Sadr al-Mota`allehin (Master of Those Who Would be Divine) established the third philosophical system in the Islamic world after Mashȃ’eis and Eshrȃqis (Illuminationists). sAs a matter of fact, although he was not the founder of the Iranian Illuminationist School of Philosophy, he is considered the master of this school.
However, Molla Sadra called his philosophical system, Hekmat Mote’ȃlieh (The Sublime Theosophy) and focused his ability to unite the Quran, Borhȃn (reasoning) and Erfȃn (mysticism) in his philosophical system, as the combination of these various paths of wisdom. His philosophical tradition was spread in Iran, India and the Shiite seminaries throughout Iraq and almost became the prevalent philosophical trend in the Shiite philosophical sphere of thought.
